I was able to participate in one of the funnest charity events ever! My Marysville Windermere office headed up the Strike Against Homelessness event again this year. My team all dressed up as the Gilligan's Island crew! I was Mr. Howell and it was a blast. I think overall we raised about $7,500 for Housing Hope.
This years annual Community Service Day, put the Marysville Windermere office in a local park in Marysville. We cleaned up the park, sanded and painted tables, play equipment, etc..., put in new bark and generally brought that park back to life. (I mostly did painting)
Every year we participate in a competition to bring in food for local food banks. This years local Food Drive competition ended with Windermere Real Estate / JS in Marysville on top again ! We raised 48,000 pounds of food for the local Food Banks!!
Every year our Windermere office in Marysville has an in-house auction for the agents in our office. 100% of the proceeds from the auction go to some preselected charities or causes. The results of this years auction was that we raised $12,715 !!! Last year we raised about $9,000. This years proceeds were distributed as follows: $2,000 went to the Marysville Food Bank, $1,500 went to the YMCA, about $200 went to the Windermere Foundation, and about $9,000 went to a young man in Arlington that needs a heart transplant. I am very proud of the things we do for our community. We are doing stuff like this all the time and it's a great feeling.
